The latest designs support CTCSS and DCS tones, allowing you to mix and match tones for repeater use. These two-way radios also come with quad watch functionality, supporting multiple radios in one. Depending on the model, some come with NOAA weather bands for emergency announcements or monitoring weather channels. Most are firmware upgradeable, ensuring safety from external threats. Some come with programming FTDI cables that support quick import and scanning of channels.
Handheld Dual-Band Two-Way Radios Are Durable
BaoFeng two-way radios come with selectable daytime and nighttime displays for 24-hour operation. Most can store up to 4,000 channels and 10,000 talk groups, making them convenient for heavy use. They provide adjustable scanning, allowing you to customize scanning preferences to fit your needs. They also support multiple DTMF receive and transmit groups, making them convenient phone conferencing devices. Some models come with programming software that supports customized operations. Many two-way radios come with built-in recording chips that store and forward conversations across different repeaters. BaoFeng walkies talkies may also come with adjustable volume options to accommodate indoor and outdoor use. Their audio inputs and outputs connect with Baofeng earpiece headsets. Most walkie talkies are water and dust resistant, enabling long-term use in harsh weather conditions.
