Cable management ties help organize cables and wires, including those used in computer applications or a network. Cable ties offer the most effective way of managing and protecting your cords and wiring. Short ties keep small wire loads secure in a computer case, and longer ties with strong tensile strength secure large bundles of networking and electrical cables. Also known as “wire ties” or “zip ties”, these cable-organizer tools feature a thin strip of material that loops through a head and holds the wires in position with interlocking teeth along the length. The teeth allow the tie to tighten but not loosen, providing a secure hold on the cables and wires.

Cable Management Ties Help Keep Your PC Running Cooler

A standard cable tie permanently bundles related wires and keeps them out of the way in a computer chassis, promoting optimal airflow to internal components for improved performance and longevity. Install a DIY cooling system in your PC using Velcro™ reusable ties to keep pumps secured to the 5.25in. drive bay. Choose an outside serrated tie to prevent damage to the delicate coating on wiring. Many case manufacturers have strategically placed holes behind the motherboard tray to accommodate mounted head cable ties that hide and tuck cable bundles away. If there are no cut-outs, use a thin, one-piece cable tie to bundle wires along the tray’s side edge for a clean look that shows off internal RGB computer accessories through tempered glass side panels.

Keep Your Desktop Clean and Tidy With Cord Management Straps

Tidy up the cables outside your PC by disconnecting and reconnecting them from the thinnest to the fattest. Connect audio cables first, then USB cables, then Ethernet cables and power cables, and route each one so there are no tangles along the way. Use Velcro cord management straps to create tight bundles that keep everything neat. These straps let you add or remove cables as needed. Alternatively, use a spiral wrap that protects bundled cables from abrasion, while allowing breakouts to different computer peripherals at any point in the bundle.

Colored Ties Create Clean Networking Cable Runs

Color-coded cable management ties enable the organization of your networking cables, so you can quickly identify what group of Ethernet cables connect to different departments. Identification cable ties have a label area for imprinting or writing notes that identify cable bundles in the server room. Clamp-style cable management ties have holes in the head for easily attaching bundled network cables to surfaces, like server racks, walls and ceilings. Use cable combs to keep multiple bend-sensitive fiber optic cables and other network cables straight and twist-free.

Extend the Life of Wiring With Cable Management Accessories

Protect bundled cables from light, dust, heat and moisture using cable raceways, or use fabric cord covers that create an overlay for the wires and blend into the floor to prevent tripping. Cable trays are usable under the floor and overhead as another way of keeping wire bundles out of sight. Some cord management sleeves are made from form-fitting neoprene material, which allows for organizing multiple cords behind the computer monitor and PC without ripping.
