In-car electronics are the hottest thing around. As Americans spend more time on the road, we are trying to be as connected to home and the office as possible. Various automotive electronics are available to keep car rides entertaining and safe, while at the same time, providing us with our gadget fix.
One example of popular automotive electronics is an audio transmitter that allows you to play music from a flash drive. If you don't have an MP3 player or CD player in your car, but you do have a vehicle and a flash drive, you could use this device to listen to MP3 files through your car stereo. You just need to load up your storage drive with MP3s and plug it into the USB port on the device. Then, you tune your radio into one of the preset FM channels and listen away!
Automotive electronics can help enhance safety features, too. Rear view camera systems allow you to see and hear what is behind your vehicle. They have largely replaced rear view mirrors because they have wide-angle lenses and provide a clearer vision than mirrors. Using such a camera helps prevent accidents by allowing you to see a lot more of what's around you.
Other automotive electronics that have become popular in the last few years include satellite radio systems, GPS navigation systems, DVD players, and video game systems. Hands-free headsets for cell phones, which have become required by law in many states, add an additional level of safety for those who need to talk and drive at the same time.
