Can I install Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD on this laptop?

I installed a 1 TB 2.5 inch ssd (laptop comes with mounting brackets and cables and is really easy to install just flip laptop over and remove screws over the big plastic piece then pull it off and gently remove battery, it's on the left under the battery and partially exposed and I swapped out the 256 GB nvme with a 2 TB Samsung 970 Pro m.2 nvme

Does it come with DDR4 2666 or 2400 and does the second M.2. slot work? I keep on seeing old reviews about this and was curious if anything changed, thanks.

It comes with 2400 memory and one M.2 is SATA only and the other M.2 is NVME only. Both work fine in that configuration. There is no hardware RAID of any kind supported on this model. If you run Linux you still have to unplug/replug in your power cord every boot to make the CPU run at full speed. The kernel developers are actively working on a solution. The built-in audio, also, does not work in Linux.

Question 3

The specifications state the max RAM for is 16GB.  Surely this cannot be correct as it has apparently 4x RAM slots?  Shouldn't it be 64GB?

Which RAM chips does it come with?  When upgrading to 64GB RAM, do you need to scrap the RAM it came with and buy new RAM?

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 supports ECC RAM.  Does this laptop support ECC RAM?  I believe it is the CPU that dictates this more so than the motherboard, so please be specific in your response.

Does this have a 2.5" drive bay (the Intel version does)?  I ask because the images appear to show that the 2.5" bay drive cable is missing, making this only have 2x NVMe.

I apologize for the error. This does support 64gb. The specs should be updated soon. 
Out of the box it has 2x8gb of memory. You will need to purchase a 4x16gb kit to get to 64gb.
It does have a 2.5" drive bay with the mounting accessories included.

Why does the intel version have Thunderbolt3 while this amd version does not?

Thunderbolt3 is proprietary to Intel, and hasn't been licensed yet to allow AMD to make use of it.

4 x RAM Slots (Not sure what the highest frequency is supported)
2 x SATA 2.5" Drive Bays
2 x m.2 Slots
And Replacing the stock thermal paste with better paste like Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaught?
