My keyboard does not light up, is it faulty?

The brightness is adjustable including an off setting. Try pressing fn-f4 to increase the  brightness of the keyboard.

can you clarify the exact details? Model says ASUS VivoBook S, specification section shows ASUS S510UA-DS51 and overview section shows ASUS VivoBook Pro 15

Yes it has a webcam! The battery is not removable. But I have been thoroughly impressed by the vivo! It’s been great to be able to do all my work and research on. College student would love this!

IPS (possibly MVA).good vertical viewing angles.
certainly not a TN (very poor vertical angles).

No, this computer does not support charging itself through the USB-C port.

neither, it is an M.2 (Toshiba - not the fastest).
there is an empty SATA slot for a SATA drive.
look also at the reviews of the similar F510UA (i'd say the same, minus the back-lit keyboard).

The details for this item are very different between the Overview and the Specification tabs.  The amount of RAM (8GB or 16GB) Screen resolution (1920x1080 or (3840x2160) , graphics processor (Intel or Nvidia) are different.  Which configuration is correct??

the overview is incorrect. it is for some other model. search the model number on google you will find a site that has all the accurate information.

How can I change the volume and backlighting on the top keys w/o holding onto the Fn key.  It gets a little annoying to consistently need two handed operation if I dont really care for the F1-f12 functions?
