Is the power switch on top left of keyboard, or on the left side like most HP's?

It is on the top left of the keyboard deck--so it is not accessible when the laptop is closed.

Does this laptop have a backlit keyboard?

It does have a backlit keyboard with thee settings, on bright, on dim, and off.  That said this keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever used on a laptop, I have used Lenovo, Toshiba, Sony, and I personally like the feel of this keyboard best.

Does this computer have a user replaceable battery?

No, battery is not user replaceable (officially). But it can be replaced very easily by opening the bottom cover. Just undo all the screws on the bottom and the battery is exposed after removing the bottom cover. Search for this model # T1B34UT on HP Support and use the Hardware, Service & Maintenance manual which details steps to battery removal. Pretty straightforward.

Does this have 2 hard drive slots?

I do not believe that this laptop has two hard drive slots.  It does have a Micro SD slot on the left which you could purchase one and use for storage if you wanted.  They make Micro SD cards up to 2TB from what I have heard.  The 512 GB SSD is amazingly fast, I boot up and into my windows in 15 seconds from 100% power off. I bought mine via newegg near the end of Sept. and it's black with copper accents (keyboard letters, hinge, logo, etc.). It's sexy looking (for a laptop), light, silent, nice screen, and has a backlit keyboard. Been great for the few weeks I've had it!
