Is the NVIDIA graphics active continuously, or does it use Intel Graphics for low demand?

Most new laptops come with nvidia Optimus so nvidia knows when to turn on and when to turn off. This laptop also let's you control nvidia also if you want something with better graphics you can do that to. This is a good laptop by the way. When you get it it will seem a little slow, but drop in a solid state and very quick at everything. Very quiet light machine. Hope this if not send out another question? Oh and look up nvidia Optimus if you never heard of it.

Is it good for gaming ?

That depends on what gaming you want to do. I have played Dark Souls I and III without any trouble. I think I may have also run XCOM Enemy Unknown, but I'm not sure. It wants to get hot, though, so I keep it up on a ghetto-rigged grid-like surface for good ventilation. Also, if I am going to be playing on it for several hours, I will have a fan blowing at it, too just to be safe. I check on it every half hour to hour and it doesn't get too hot this way.

Has anyone successfully installed a fresh version of windows on this laptop?

I purchased an SSD along with this computer.  I then installed a clean copy (if that's what you mean by "fresh") of Windows 10.  I downloaded the media onto a flash drive using the Microsoft website.  Just followed their directions--didn't have any problems--it works great.

where is the windows 10 product key?

Post Windows 7, the product keys are no longer physically placed on the case. You'll instead find a W8 or W10 sticker on the bottom. Product keys must be purchased from Microsoft. This system was setup to avoid software piracy.

Question 6

Interested in this laptop but i want to upgrade the hard drive to a ssd AND i want to add 8gb of memory. It seems like there are 3 ways to install a ssd and one of them being using the open memory slot (seems like the most common on here) which i obviously cant do if i want to add more memory down the line. SO is there a spot i can just replace the standard hdd with a 2.5 ssd?? or is it only in the open optical drive bay because i read in the reviews that its hard to find one that fits in there.

Yes you can upgrade to an SSD drive, I have not heard of any SSD fitting into a memory slot, you could add an additional DDR 4 so-dim of 8gb into the slot. as for the SSD you would need to install it into the same space as the present HD. Best practice would be to remove the present drive, which entails disassembly of the top and bottom. using an external dual docking station, clone the original to the new SSD, or use a cloning boot disk/usb and clone to/from an external drive. Using the optical bay would require finding the right fitting unit, and the connectors on the SSD drive and DVD drives are different, would need some kind of adapter. Hope that helps.

Will i be able to do photo editing and 3d modeling on it?

Technically, it should (depends on the hardware requirements for software you wish to use.)
Keep in mind that it will ship from the factory with the ram running in single channel mode. 
You may need add a stick of ram and set it in the BIOS to run in dual channel mode. One of the benefits to this laptop is Acer made it trivial to gain access to the RAM and the drive bays (This includes the PCIe M.2 SSD bay which you may consider as an later upgrade slotting an NVMe SSD to serve as the boot drive. Use something like Macrium Reflect to alter the size of the boot partition then clone that partition to the M.2 SSD. Change the settings in the BIOS, (Set to boot from the ssd). The laptop will absolutely smoke.)

Yes it will. You can take the back panel off and remove the HDD.

Since there is no DVD drive, you can purchase a DVD drive "slot" which can hold another HDD and use dual hard drives.

Yes, you can keep the existing HDD and install anew SSD. Manufacturer is up to you, but the M.2 interface is the easiest open port to get to.
