- What is the connection to the PC ? Direct sata connector ?
- Is this RAID compatible for all Operating System ? (eg. LINUX, QNX6)

The default configuration as shipped leverages 3 - SFF-8088 connectors/cables to the PC host adapter.  The DS-12D is a JBOD box.  To make it a RAID enclosure you need a RAID host adapter.  I use a Highpoint 2711 in my PC and I installed and EJ-340 inside of the DS-12D.  The OS support for RAID is adapter dependent and doesn't rely on the DS-12D.  if you want a Norco RAID version of this, buy a DS-12E but you'll need to ensure the expander in the DS-12ER will work with your adapter. Question 2

Does this product come with power supply?  If not, what type and power level is reccommended.

Yes, it does have a 2U ATX PSU. That's why I purchased one, as it seemed very economical, but it has not been without some problems. The drive sleds are very flimsy, for one thing, and not what I am accustomed to using. It's certainly on the very affordable end for this kind of unit, but I have yet to get it fully operational, and I don't know if that is my SAS card, or of it is the unit itself.

You can also buy the same enclosure, with no backplane, no special features, and no PSU, designed to have an ATX logic board inside it, but this model is designed to run out of the box.

It *does not* include the Norco rail kit!  YMMV.
