Motherboard Compatibility

Pros: - I will write something here if I ever get to use it.

Cons: - be quiet! site lists ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac as a compatible motherboard, but a pair of MOSFETS (or something on the mobo) interfere with the heatsink mount. Was unable to install the cooler.

- Most difficult install I've yet tried. Instructions are okay, but you have to mount the heatsink from the bottom of the motherboard. That is to say, you don't just change the back-plate, but actually screw it in from the back. Huge pain.

Amazing temps in a unique looking and SILENT package

Pros: The Dark Rock TF performs on par with a lot of liquid coolers that cost close to double of this even when it is not on sale. Sitting on top of an i5 4690k that was OC'd to 4.4GHz, the processor rarely went beyond 60c when gaming. Not only did this cooler do the job but best of all it did it QUIETLY. Even under heavy loads you would have to listen to the computer with your head practically in the case to hear it at all. My case fans that I added to my build a month or so later were much louder than this and I couldn't even hear it at all anymore.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I like the blacked out aesthetic of the cooler and I think that a few small LEDs bet ween the two layers of heatsink would make for a really cool "underglow" CPU cooler. I hope that be quiet! will make another generation of this cooler because top-down coolers are my favourite.

DARK ROCK TF Low Profile

Pros: Upgraded my PC to x299 mother board with core i5x, future upgradeable. This cooler is quite and works well, at stock speed of 4.0 GHz the CPU temp is 40 degrees idle and 60 degrees at 100 percent using prime95. On the MSI x299 SLI PLUS board ram clearance is not an issue with the G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series in any of the eight slots.

Update-
A little more than a year later how and I have added a MSI GTX 1070 Aero ITX. The CPU temp is 35 degrees idle and 66 degrees at 100 percent using prime95 and Unigine Valley simultaneously, 6 degrees added heat from the Video card, I still like this DARK ROCK TF

Cons: 80 plus degrees at 100 percent when over clocked to 4.5 GHz but I have not fine tuned the case fans yet.

Other Thoughts: I see no need to over clock as yet because the x299 mother board with core i5x will run any game/program on the market that I will be using.

Still has Heat Pipe issues with AMD

Pros: This is my 3rd build with this cooler and/but still love the performance and looks. Cools a 220w FX-9590 with ease.

Cons: Using the: ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX motherboard (and a FX-9590 CPU), the only memory I currently have in stock is the G.SKILL Ares Series 32GB (4 x 8GB). They are low profile and slim to work with 4 sticks of memory; i.e.without hitting the coolers heat pipes.

The: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) the
CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 32GB (4 x 8GB) and the
Klevv Neo 16GB (4 x 4GB) were all to tall and/or thick for 4 stick installation

4 x Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16GB (4 x 4GB) would fit height wise but the LED's install with the memory were far to thick to fit 4 sticks in.

Other Thoughts: Wish the company: be quiet! would take a look at the 'Heat Pipe' issue. Maybe there is no issues or problems with Intel motherboard but I've not spent much time on the other side of life.

AM4 R5 1600

Pros: - Quiet
- Dropped temps 20C from the box cooler
- Easy install on AM4
- Cools VRMs

Cons: - Instructions could be clearer

Other Thoughts: Install was made easier by having a large cutout in the back of my case

I am overclocked to 3.9. I tried for 4ghz but the voltage needed was over 1.45v... My temperatures will still well below 70C. I never expected to run into a voltage ceiling before a temperature ceiling!

Would definitely recommend

Works Great!

Pros: Switched to this from an ASETEK 550LC AIO.
The be quiet! DARK ROCK TF keeps my CPU cooler with no dangerous water and less points of failure.

I was able to orient this cooler in 3 of the 4 directions on a MSI Z170 Gaming Pro MB
without encroaching on my 4 Corsair Vengeance led RAM sticks or the top pci-e slot.

Ended up installing with the side with the 6 heat pipes on the bottom.
This clears the sound card in the top pci-e slot by 2mm
and leaves most of the 4 led RAM stick visible.

Installation was not bad, some of the final 4 nuts can be a little finiky to get tight near the VRMs.

MSI Kombuster CPU Burner tops out a 6700k @ 4.2GHz at 61C with an ambient of 27C.

Cons: It's big, but that's the nature of the beast.
A PC with a heavy air cooler should not be transported with the cooler attached.
Unless it's in your lap with the MB laying flat.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with the performance.
Now I just have to figure out how to attach an RGB fan.
The included fans have unusual mounting holes in the center of the fan, thickness wise,
which makes the wire clip too short for my RGB fan.

Good cooler held back

Pros: -RAM clearance is pretty flexible but still will restrict tall RAM dims.
-Rubber guards on grills help reduce vibrations, lowering noise, and keeping fans in place.
-Included fans are good quality, be quiet! fans tend to be this way.
-Includes a 2-headed fan splitter to allow for both fans to be controlled off the CPU1 Fan header.
-Black metal allows for more color matching options with current gen designs (personal preference) .

Cons: -Can be wider than expected leading to various conflicts with other parts
{} Can conflict with tall RAM dims, this will depend on mounting orientation and number of RAM slots on MOBO. 4 slot boards will be fine while 8 slot boards may have various issues.
{} Cooler will make putting cards in the top PCIE slot difficult is small, impossible if full size like a GPU (this may varry based on board layout). Trying out other installation orientations can help but may not solve every conflict.
-No included solution to mount other fans other than those included. This is a huge oversight in my opinion which is why its a 4 instead of a 5. I used small zip ties included with my power supply to mount a 140mm fan of my choice. I still used one of the included fans to go as the under mounted fan seeing as it didn't matter since no one would see it. Good thing the fans are good quality.
-Due to its design, it has a slightly weaker frame meaning that it can bend if enough force is applied, though this is extremely unlikely. It is worth keeping in mind if you plan to move the system with the cooler is still installed but if stationary this is a non-issue.

Other Thoughts: This is a good alternative to a tower cooler if performance is still needed while maintaining a lower profile. I wouldn't recommend it unless height was an issue for a full tower cooler but otherwise it fills its intended role very well. be quiet! is known for their quality and it shows, but seriously give us some included mounts for our own fans with future products.

Good cooler, buy full tower case and larger

Pros: -Keeps the lga 1155 i7-2600 cpu on a mATX mb cool to 30-40*C on 100% manual fan speed using speedfan software
-2 Fans
-Installation instructions were understandable for intel mounting brackets

Cons: -Too big for my thermaltake v3 mid tower case but it does give some room. I suggest going ATX full tower and larger.
-It was hard figuring how the fan brackets were installed but I got it in eventually.
-I do not know what the temperatures are while gaming but I can probably update this review soon as I get into a Ryzen 7 build.

Other Thoughts: I would buy again from this company.
