Question 1

Newbie here...please don't flame. My TWC cable modem is in one room and I'd like to locate this router in another. At my previous home, I had the router connected (wired) directly to the modem. My current home is larger and this isn't feasible unless I relocate the modem. Assuming I don't relocate the modem, can I connect this router to the modem wirelessly? That may be a dumb question but I'll risk it...

No you can't, but there really isn't any need to. I have a 22 hundred square foot home and my router is at the far end of the house on the top floor. The router has no problem covering the whole house. My neighbors router took a dump on him just last week & he couldn't use his computer. I told him to log onto my router ( tp-link touch p5 ) as guest and it worked fine. He was so impressed he got his own touch p5. So if your worried about coverage, don't. Hope this helped.

Will this router work with COX ISP?

It should work with any ISP.  I you have an ISP provided modem you will need to have them place it in bridge mode in order for you to use your router.

No.  It only takes a minute or 2 using the touch screen.  Go to the tp-link/us web site and click HOME/Routers/Wi-Fi Routers, click on the box for this router:  lots of basis info on this page.  NEXT:  click on the Support tab (Upper Right), There you will find a Set Up Video, Manual, Firmware, Utility, etc. Downloads.  Everything you need to know.  Setting up routers has always been difficult for me.  I always had to ask for help, but not with this router.  Set up was a breeze!

Question 5

Same newbie with another question. My TWC cable modem is located in a fairly good-sized walk-in closet  that also houses the electronic equipment for my home alarm. I don't seem to have any problem with the modem in general in that location but if were to connect this router do you think the alarm system electronics would create too much interference?

This is a great router.  I am sure that it's design has the ability to cancel/abate third party RF noise.  It is tuned to work on specific 802.11 frequencies.  I predict that "noise" from a alarm system electronics will have little to no effect on this devices performance.   (Mine sits in a closet a few inches from my large laser printer and I see not issues.)

Question 6

Is this router capable of receiving line of sight 4g LTE cell tower signal without a separate hardware access point that then connects to this router via a network cable connection?  Can it stand alone as an access point for my 4G IP service and still perform as a router without compromising output signal strength?
