can a left handed person use it?

It does not appear to be reversible.  The sides do adjust and could probably come off, but they would be facing the wrong direction if put on the other side of the mouse.  That, plus I'm not sure if the left side buttons would work at all.

So, sorry, but I think the answer is 'no.'

Question 2

How is the mouse wheel? Is it durable? The last mouse I had, the mouse wheel functioned with a ribbed rubber ring around the center of it that triggered the switch, and that wore out pretty quickly (which seems to be a common problem), and I'm feeling a little iffy about the look of this one.

Only time will tell and the construction was surprisingly sturdy and the wheel seems to be constructed like some other mice with the single down click button placed on the left side of the wheel. The mouse wheel is the main reason why I buy new mice and seems to be one of the first buttons to break down or start the glitch randomly after getting worn out. Which is why I do not go for mice with the side scrolling movements on the center button / scroll wheel. Since the 3 click wheels seem to break a lot quicker than the standard single click wheels.

Is max DPI 8200 or 3200? Title and specs say 8200 but description says 800/1600/2400/3200 4 Stage Switch, so which is it?

The default setting goes up to 3200, but you can set it to 8200 in the provided program

I just returned Mad Catz rat7 to another online seller and still need a mouse,Does this mouse adjust wider than the Rat 7 ?

Mouse has a surprisingly sturdy construction and at least when fully collapsed feels like it can take a beating and then I twisted off the allen wrench and started playing with the hex screws all over the mouse. I was laughing historically at how far the pieces of the mouse move which the mouse is already quite wide before expanding out each side and the back moves upward as it moves backward. I do not know how wide the Rat 7 can get but I can't imagine it could be wider than the GM4 either before moving anything and especially afterwards.
