Hi Alan,

This will allow you to connect an older CD deck. The male side of the 15 pin SATA will connect to the female end of the power cable. In other words, it is typically a male connect that is attached to the device and a female cable that is attached to the PSU. Make sure that the device will connect to your motherboard.
