it says its a 1 x 8pin EPS12V CPU. my cpu plug seems to be a 4pin? I saw a video of this psu that said its a 4/8 pin cpu.... will this work on mine?

Yes.  Most PSU come with a 8 pin 12v CPU connector.  It's designed to be split in half.  You'll see that it's two sets of wires coming off the connector and the center is weak.  this is where you would split if if you only require One 4 pin connector.

Question 3

Is a slight hot electronic smell normal for this power supply right after starting for the first time?  I wouldn't say it is a burning smell, but you can for sure smell slight hot electronic smell.  Should I rma?

Yes (EE). That's from epoxy heating as well as dust on the heatsinks. That's normal. Lots of electronics, including laptops, game consoles and blu-ray players might do this, depending on how long they were run during factory testing and how long they sat on the shelf between boxing and sale.

would this be able to run two ASUS GTX660s?

Hi Cameron,

I bought the CX600M for a small system that I built for a friend.  He had just one video card, hard drive and doesn't do gaming.  For two ASUS GTX660s, I think you might be better off with a 750 watt power supply.  You could get by with the 600, but in the long run, the 750 would run cooler and last longer.  It's pretty much a matter of paying a little more to put your mind at ease.  All the PC's I've built have had Corsair power supply's.  They have never let me down.

Is this Pwr Supply compatible with the Asus Z97-A motherboard?

This power supply will fit any standard ATX case and is compatible with any ATX motherboard, and as long as your power demands are not higher than the output of the power supply, you should have no problem.  I have one running BOINC 24/7 using an AMD FX 8 core chip with 3 GT 730 video cards at 100% capacity with no trouble.  That's probably asking a lot of the power supply, but as it works, I keep doing it.

will this fit a mid size tower?

It is an atx power supply so it will fit in cases that say the support full atx power supplies but this does not mean it has to be a full atx case. In you case description it should list maximum PSU length and psu form factor. This is an atx form factor PSU.

Does it come with all of the cords that a non-modular power supply comes with?

It comes with everything you need to hook up a standard setup. Including gpu  fans hard drives pretty much everything. I have been using mine for over 2 years now and it is one of the best power supplies I have ever purchased.

Is 600w too much for a 6600k, a hyper 212 evo to cool it, a gtx 960, 8gb of corsair vengeance ram, an msi z170a pc mate mobo, an ssd and an optical drive?

Too much is not usually an issue where power supplies are concerned. Too little is. Of course your case must accommodate the PSU. I have not checked with a power consumption calculator widely available on the Internet but given your list of components expect this to exceed your requirements for power consumption.

I know this come with AC power cable, for American plugs.
So, as an European, is it possible just get a diferent power cable for Europe plugs?

Yes, you'll be able to plug a cable with the standard 3 prong receiver into the power supply and have the other end match your local outlets and it will work just fine.

Will this fit into a Corsair Obsidian Series 250D?

Not certain but would recommend moving 1 step up in the Corsair series of power supplies. Especially if this will be your only computer. Do not get me wrong for the price and especially if on sale for a modular power supply you will be pressed to find better but is not may not be robust enough for all applications.
