Will this work as a power supply without it being connected to a computer?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  It will power USB devices through the included power adapter.  I use mine to charge my Android phone.  You will need the appropriate cable for each device.  A computer connection is usual, but not necessary.

Question 2

I have a Rasberry Pi and the specs in the owner's manual say that I need a hub with 700 mA output current.  Does this item supply that much current?

The unit has a 2000 ma switching power adaptor. It should handle your requirement. However, make sure that your other devices so not exceed 2000 ma total along with your Rasberry unit. I run multiple Rosewill port units off a precision 5 volt 30 amp power supply so I have no experience with the supplied adapter.

That's a good question. I don't see why it shouldn't. I do see there are actual USB hubs that advertise being compatible with a PS4. Go ahead and do as search for PS4 USB hub.

STD USB 3.0 or 2.0 usb cable provided with the connector. I use mine with laptops and it works great and easy to store.

Regarding question 2; I believe you are asking about specifications. If so, you can view the specs Newegg has published on the product's listing page, and then click on the "Specifications" tab. If you are looking for a more complete list of specs, you should search the manufacturer's (Rosewill) website. If you are not finding as complete a list of specs as you desire, they may not exist. Keep in mind this is a very simple device, a USB hub, and therefore may not need detailed specs.
