I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The advertised max SD storage capacity is 128GB for a Micro SD card. Will this work in it or not? I can't seem to find any information.

Yes, the "XC" stands for "eXtended Capacity".. meaning 128gb or higher.

Format it with the newer "efat" file system...

if you have trouble accessing the card,
then I would suggest formatting the card after installing it...

Is this card compatible with my droid z force cell phone?

Check the specs for your phone. This is only a simple memory card, at worst your phone may not be able to address its full capacity. This brand works quite well for me, I have had no problems in my Surface tablet or Microsoft Lumia 950 phone.

Question 3

what is the actual capacity? It is advertised as 128gigabytes but is that true? 128GB should be 131072MB.

I understand that to be technically accurate 1 gigabyte equals 1024 megabytes. However, in today's usage, it seems that companies are reporting gigabyte capacities as 1000 megabytes, so compared to the scientifically accurate definition, we are losing 2.4% of storage, just from how marketing people have decided to label things. Also, there is always some overhead. Bottom line - I haven't put anything on the card yet, and my phone is  reporting 120 gigabytes available. This is approximately  122880 MB.

Has anyone tried this on the GoPro devices HERO4 and HERO Session? how did it fair?

I have not.  I don't even have one.  I only use Samsung cards in my Samsung devices though; and I have had no issues.
