Pros: Amazing monitor, super clear, bright and crisp. Games look great (with a decent vid card) and movies are as good as they can be on a screen smaller than 52 inches! No dead pixels. What else can you ask for in a monitor?

Cons: If there are any, it's the lack of USB ports.

Pros: Very bright and vibrant picture (slight adjustment is almost necessary to tone it down);

Color reproduction is very good but this brings up a Con as well;

Very classy design (probably the biggest PRO about this!) / shiny piano-black finish complements any environment with style.

Big picture with decent viewing angles for price.

Cons: #1 CON relates to one of its PROs: color reproduction is good but it changes drastically througout the screen! Images viewed at the top 1/4 of the screen have 50% more color depth than at the bottom 1/4. A solid colored screen can change from that color to almost being washed out at the bottom. Much cheaper screens don't do this! Not impressed!

#2: Light bleeding: I won't use this one against the monitor that I have NOW. But I had to send my first one back to Newegg. The first one was terrible. Highly concentrated areas of light bleeding all around the top, bottom, left and right edges. My advice if you see this, RMA and SEND IT BACK!

#3 CON: I hate hearing the comment "dust magnet", this is actually a beautiful glossy screen that I can expect to attract dust. I'll take one over the other. BUT the whole setup is extremely flimsy and rocks back and forth at the slightest touch or desk movement. It feels cheap and Samsung needs to redo the stand/swivel!

Other Thoughts: I buy Samsung products for the picture quality vs. price ratio: for the most part you can expect it to be the highest with Samsung.
I gave the 2253BW a VERY VERY generous 4 stars. My official rating is a 3 on the picture and I was honestly pushed an extra .5 for design appeal (not overall design quality!) This thing looks high-class! It is a showpiece in any room and is honestly the best thing I can say about it.
The overall picture quality is not great. There are defined color, tone and light differences throughout the whole screen. Colors change and lose tone depending on where you look and I understand its an LCD. I've owned/seen many of these without these issues.
Aside from it having a very stylish look, the whole stand/swivel design is cheap and flimsy. Im looking for a way to alter it myself to keep it from rocking so much. Not impressed!
Overall for the price, you're getting a half-decent monitor. Again, my 4 star rating is probably too generous so research before buying!

Pros: I have tow of these that I am extremely happy with. I'm ready to buy my third. Just a godd, well-performing monitor for a fair price.

Cons: Height and swivel adjustment, but I knew that going in. If I really need these, I can buy an aftermarket stand.

Pros: awesome monitor, im on it right now and i love it, i think im going to buy 2 more and make it a 3-way monitor set up. well worth the money.

Pros: This is one of the best monitors I've ever owned. It's big enough, the quality is super clear, the look is fantastic. There are absolutely no complaints as to how this monitor performs.

Cons: I know wall-mounts are a little expensive, but I would have seriously rathered this thing come with one. The plasic base and support rod are attached via a metal brace, but the monitor can not adjust, and because my desk is a tiny one, on wheels, on a hardwood floor.. any slight impact on the desk makes the monitor wobble like a bobblehead.

Pros: It's large, it's crystal clear and took 30 seconds to assemble (no joke). The recommended viewing size of 1680 by 1050 is definitely the best choice, it's simple amazing. Leaps and bounds over my older 17 inch.

Cons: Not so much a con as it was an annoyance. The buttons (power, menu, etc.) are behind the clear plastic at the bottom so it took me a second to recognize where they were.

Other Thoughts: It looks better than my 26 inch 1080p TV.
