The monitor can any as a USB hub and also provides power over USB for charging. Depending on your setup, interacting with a USB device attached to the monitor can wake your computer.

I received my predator this week and was pretty happy with it. within 5 hours of gaming i notice large black bars showing up on both sides of the screen. is this a known issue of the predator line or did i just draw the short stick?

Can you be more specific?  When you say large black bars, it makes me think that the game or computer has changed the resolution of the game, as some games don't run at ultra wide screen res.

It does not have VESA mounts, so I am thinking no. The stand "seems" to be hard connected to the back, and the back is not flat, so I am not sure how you would go about mounting this.

Question 4

This monitor looks great but I want to use it for both my PC gaming and Xbox console games.  Obviously on the PC I would use it with my 1080ti but would a game like Destiny/Destiny 2 also look good on it?  I understand the limitations in framerate and resolution of consoles.  Feedback would be very much appreciated!

I bought mine almost a month ago for the exact same reasons as you. I use it mainly for PC gaming but also use it for my xbox/ps4. I really love it, of course with the PC and Display Port you get the most benefits of this (3440x1440, G-sync, 21:9), but the xbox and ps4 look really great too, of course you will see two black bars on the sides because of the lack of support for 21:9 aspect ratio, but it looks awesome either way if you don't mind that. The better resolution of the screen helps it look smooth and a little bit better.
