Is the screen matte or shiny?

Shiny, but it doesn't seem to refelct ambient light. That could be because of the curve. The picture is outstanding and bright with no reflections. Best screen I've ever had.

Is there any difference between this and the 24" SAMSUNG 390 Series C24F390 other than size?

The C in C24F390 is for curved. Other than that there are no diffrences in the 390 series monitors except size.
