The spec states that the Windows Compatibility is Windows 10.  Does this mean that it will not operate with Windows 7??

It’s a monitor if your graphics card can support it then your good. Nada to do with the operating system really. It’s iust showing that so you know it’s a windows based product.

Is this excessive for console gaming?

I wouldn't recommend this for console gaming as the image will stretch pretty bad so you'll have to play it with black bars rendering half your monitor useless when gaming.  You could use picture by picture mode which will split your screen letting you use a console for half and desktop on the other but then it limits the monitor to 60hz refresh rate . I'd find a monitor with a more standard resolution .

I'm buying this mostly for my flight simulator and it looks great on their specs, but is it worth buying it for this kind of game?

If the game natively supports the resolution its amazing, which means your user interface will scale properly, I use it for destiny 2. But other games don't scale well therefore I tend to play them in windowed mode while I have Netflix Hulu or sling up on the other half. This monitor is amazing for non 4k video editing assuming you color calibrate it in my head I imagine this would be a fun Monitor to use with a flight simulator.

No, sorry, it does not have touch screen capabilities, but it is a fantastic monitor to use for games and multitasking.

I just purchased this monitor and my existing video card only goes up to 2560x1080, but the monitor goes to 3840x1080. Any recommendations for an updated video card at a reasonable price?

Are you using hdmi or displayport? What video card are you using? Have you tried creating custom resolutions to see if any works?

How do you game to the full refresh rate 144 hz without 24 or (24+1) connector? What cable are you using?

I use a display port connector for 144hz. For a dvi connector you would need Dual-Link DVI-D to support 144hz but only at 1920 by 1080p.  Preferable you want display port 1.3 + or a HDMI 2.0 but off hand I can't remember what HDMI version this monitor supports.

Question 9

Finally got it up and running but HDR seems to be broken in Windows 10. When you enable HDR the screen goes about half-brightness and grey. So far it seems to be a Windows Creator update issue. Running dual Titan X Pascal. No G-Sync but 144Hz just fine. So bummed HDR isn't working. One of the main reasons I bought it. Any ideas?

Windows HDR support is shotty at best. There are numerous posts on various forums about it. HDR support inside of games (using the game HDR settings) seems to work well, but the windows desktop HDR has issues. Main suggestion I have read was to disable the HDR from the windows settings and enjoy it inside of games. The only down side of it is if you have HDR video you want to watch you would have to enable it in windows and deal with the windows part looking sad, but the video should look great

Question 10

How does the 3840 x 1080 resolution look on this large of a screen? IMO a screen this large in this aspect ratio should be 7680 x 2160 which is 8K. Then its essentially the same physical screen size as two 28" 4K monitors side-by-side. This monitor at 3840 x 1080 is only 2K, its two 28" HD displays combined onto one screen. Do screen objects look kind of goofy big?

Goofy big not at all, its not different than two regular monitors anyways. I got use to going from 4k to this but with all the dp issues I returned it. Windows scales well. Would only recommend getting the correct size wallpaper is all.
