does tis screen have an HDMI outlet?

No Chris, *it does not* an HDMI connection.  If you click on the 'Specs' tab over the item description, you'll see it has 1ea. D-Sub and DVI - plus all other relevant info on this product.  Still, a really great screen and hard to beat for the $'s!

Is the stand height adequate for viewing?

I have a pretty standard 30" tall desk and sit in a position that my eyes are perfectly level with the very top of the screen so most of the time I am looking slightly down on the monitor. I find it very comfortable to view and have had no problems looking for long periods of time. Please keep in mind that it is not height adjustable, so unless you want to prop it with something, you will be the one who may need to adjust. The unit does tilt.

Question 3

Does this monitor support portrait orientation?  I'm looking for a three monitor setup in portrait mode.

does this monitor have WIFI capability such that it could be a second monitor in the office setting without having to link to the Mac or ethernet?

I received this answer from a friend that works at Viewsonic--Net-net there is no Wi-Fi on the display itself, but I do know that this monitor is capable and I recommend reviewing the ViewSonic site for options.

I've purchased this item, Nov.. 2013. The audio is quite low. Am I able to connect a pair of speakers, and what type would you recommend?  Any answer would be appreciated.

There is no audio out on this monitor, so you cannot attach any speakers to the monitor. Suggest you get a pair of powered speakers to use with you computer. There are many brands and prices. I personally use a powered speaker system from labtec for my computer.

Is the screen glossy?

Looks more like a satin finish.
Very low reflectivity of room lights or natural sun light from the window.
I am very pleased with the appearance and low reflectivity.

What connectors does this monitor come with if any? I recently bought 2 just want to know whether or not to visit best buy so I can have all the parts ready when they get here.

Connections: power , audio, and vga out, DVI Out.
Comes with a power cable, audio cable, and vga cable.  Does not come with a DVI cable.

What cable do I need to connect this monitor to an Nvidia GT610 card?

This monitor can take either the standard D-Sub connector or DVI connector. Since your GT610 should have both ports either cable will work. I used a DVI cable with a male connector on each end.
