glossy or matte?

The 25xi and 27xi are glossy. My understanding is that the 23xi is matte. There is a significant anti glare coating on the panel so I haven't had any glare related issues. Very happy with my 25xi.

Is this a good Monitor for gaming?

Response time is a bit on the low side, so unless the games you play are turn based, you'll want a faster monitor. However, I have played games like Call of Duty 4, Black Ops, and Battelfield 3 on a 16ms response time monitor, and I still had fun. But if you are an elite gamer, this might not be the monitor for you.

can I connect a Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV unit to this monitor? is it HDCP compliant?

All I know is it's HDMI and DVI-D compatible. Does that tell you anything? It seems to me HDMI would work for all of those but I don't really know. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

what exact power supply supply is this? I had ordered one but there was no power brick included.

19 volts DC at 2.63 amps. The adapter should be located underneath  the back side of the Styrofoam packing. Check the backside of the packing in one of the foam compartments. It should be there.

Can I use this monitor vertically?

No, not with the stand provided. It doesn't twist vertical.

Are all of the connection cables included?

Suprisingly no. the ports are there but the connection cables are not the S-video port is said to support many types of input but the cable adapters that take say, composite etc are not included. there is however a  remote ir reciever cable, and the overall build quality is nice, perfectly integrating to windows media center, only gripe is the tuner speed is rather slow. taking 1-2 seconds between channels.

Can you use vga connection available on this monitor?

Yes you can use VGA or DVI or HDMI  connections. This monitor has all 3 ports to choose from. This has a glossy finish screen. Buy with confidence. No disappointments here!

None of the info on this monitor shows actual monitor size, not screen. Does someone know? I have a small area for two monitors and need to know.

Can this be used with a dual-monitor arm?  I do not see any holes in the pictures shown.

This monitor is designed to be mounted only on the supplied stand.  Any other mounting would probably require some sort of adapter, possibly custom-made. The stand attaches to the monitor with a snap-in connector, no tools involved.

Question 10

Why doe it have a hdmi hookup but no speakers.  How can I use hdmi sound with this product?  My on board sound does not work.

They never designed this monitor with speakers. The option for you is add a separate sound card to your motherboard since your on board audio failed. Purchase a pair of speakers. FYI this monitor died on me after only 2 years.
