I don't have a way to measure it exactly, but it looks to be about 1.5 to 2 inches.

I'm trying to extend the bottom of the monitor a couple of inches below the front of the desktop. What is the minimum height for this stand?

If you remove the Clip that holds the Allen wrenches on the main strut, you can put the holder about 1-2 inches above the bottom of the desk.

What is the maximum horizontal dimension for two identical monitors on this stand?  Note that I am not asking about the 32" diagonal screen size, but rather the physical horizontal space that two identical monitors can occupy with this stand.  For example, a 32" diagonal screen size for a 16 x 9 monitor equates to a horizontal screen dimension of 16 * (32*32/((16*16)+(9*9))) (a*a + b*b = c*c, where a=16x and b=9x and c=32").  That's just under 28" horizontally for a 16 x 9 monitor, and about 29 1/2" for a 21 x 9 monitor where a=21x and b=9x and c=32.

Hope I understand your question correctly.  You are going to mount 2 identical monitors side by side.  Monitors do have different size (24 or 27 or 32" etc) or aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9 or 21:9), Since I don't know the exact size of the monitors you are planning to mount, I think it will be most helpful to tell you the maximum arm extension instead, which is the distance between the center of VESA mount to the shaft. It is 15 1/4 inches.
