Is this win 10 pro compatible?

Mike ask your internet service provider if this is compatible with there ststem. If it is it will work with Windows 10 Pro and the new Windows 10 anniversary update Build 17393.rs1_release 160715-1616. I have Comcast and it is working fine.

Question 2

I need to know if this modem has a phone connection. ?  My current UBEE, TWC supplied modem has 2, although I only use 1.  If it does, I will purchase one of these immediately.

no it does not. if you have a phone line you will need to buy a separate phone modem. otherwise you will keep the old router to use as modem only, which I did.

Anyone have compatibility issues with ASUS AC66R or similar ASUS router?

Personally have not had any good luck with any Asus product yet, from a motherboard to a video card to a router. I do know that I have a D-Link router and there are no issues at all between this modems functionality with or without my D-Link router attached to it. Hope this helps.

Modems do not provide Wifi on their own. You'll either also need a router, or purchase a modem/router combo.

Yes. It's compatible with anything that will communicate with tcp/ip. Windows (NT-10), Linux, Mac, Novell, blah blah.

Does this unit support dd-wrt?

Yes, I successfully flashed it with DD-WRT about a year ago and eventually back to stock firmware. I cannot speak to the stability, only because I switched to a different router as my main within about a month.

Some ISPs allow people to bundle services. I have... internet, home phone and cable box. The unit does not have phone jack. Is there another model? The phone jack is the only thing keeping me from buying this unit.

This doesn't support phone jack required for Comcast triple play. I personally think the routers for triple don't have the specification compared to a gaming router. Hope this helps

Sorry, I do not have Mediacom but it works very well with Comcast-Xfinity.
