Can I, as a private person, not a builder, purchase this OEM version, install and register it with Microsoft or there might be some obstacles?

Loaded this version on a Vista laptop and registered - no problems.
Bought this and a new solid state drive for my wife's Vista laptop that was getting buggy. She has been much happier with this.

For people who don't want to log in to their windows account go to settings - Accounts - and select log into local account.

Question 2

Can I install this on more than 1 of my personal computers or will I have to purchase a copy for each computer?

There is only one activation/product key per disk purchased. You will have to purchase a copy for each computer in order to have a valid activation/product key per computer. Furthermore, an OEM version activation/product key can only be used on the first computer you install it on. Example, I install this disk with activation key on first computer, then first computer breaks 6 months later, I then CANNOT use this disk with activation key on a different computer; it will only work on the first computer that broke.

What exactly is included, a disk, a license number, or something I have to download?

Question 4

I have a small samsung netbook I bought in 2011.  Can I update it? It has XP on it.  Do I need 32 or 64 bit?

Because you are currently running Windows XP, you cannot "upgrade" your existing OS, but you can perform a "clean" install of Windows 10 (which will destroy anything currently on your hard drive, so make sure you back up any files you want to keep before starting the process). As your device is a netbook, make sure it has an optical (DVD) drive before ordering a Windows 10 disc (like the one shown here). If not, you'll want to look for a version that comes on a USB flash drive (also available here on NewEgg). The 32/64-bit question can be answered by checking what you already have. Open your Start menu, right-click on the "My Computer" item on the right-hand side of the menu, and select Properties. In the window that appears, look at the "System" section near the top. If it includes the text "x64 Edition", then you're running 64-bit. Otherwise, you're running 32-bit.
