Pros: None
Cons: This will give you horrible internet. If you have any sort of wireless router provided by your ISP it will beat this. I really cannot think of any way to use this. Even as a repeater it fails.
Pros: It works consistently, and the price was right.
Cons: It's not Gigabit, but what do you expect for the price...
Other Thoughts: The range is just alright. It could be better... but then again, it could be worse, too. I bought 2 of them - 1 for home and 1 for work. I am using them as Wi-Fi hotspots with an Ethernet cable plugged into the device. I must say though that I am surprised at how well the one at work is holding up... considering it's around some x-ray machines.
Pros: The price was fantastic for this product. It also works as needed, with a pretty good speed. It was also easy to set up.
Cons: Speed could be better, but for the price the speed is good
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product, it works as needed to find those spots in the home that have no service
Pros: It was to setup, and the small size makes it convenient.
Cons:
The wireless security did not work as well as it should.
Product completely failed after 6 months.
Other Thoughts:
I was using it as a repeater. The small size did make it convenient to plug near where it was needed, and it really seemed to do the trick. But one time, even though I had setup this router with its own admin name and password, when my son was trying to setup a different tp-link router using the default admin and password he wound logging into this one. Not such great security.
Even though it did fail well within its warranty period, it only cost $5, so I can't see throwing away any more money to get an inferior product replaced.
Pros: great price and excellent
Cons: great price and excellent product
Pros: None
Cons: I had very high hopes for this product. I followed the instructions and was unable to get it to work. I called customer support and although she tried to help, she didn't seem to know the product. Anyway, after finally getting into the control screen and choosing to use it as wireless extension, it would reboot and never finish rebooting. I tried over and over, very frustrating. I am stuck with 2 of these.
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Works with any OS or network I've tried
- Greatly improved network connectivity at a few hotels I have had WiFi "issues" with
- Uses little space on the wall and leaves outlet above open to be used
- Tiny, uses little space and can keep it in a laptop bag or suitcase and it's barely noticeable
Cons: None really, except if the A/C socket is kind of loose, it will fall out of the wall, but that isn't really the devices fault.
Other Thoughts: I am not really understanding all the negative reviews, I had no issues with this product and every application I used it for it worked flawlessly... I am a VoIP network technician and stay in hotels a lot, probably 150 nights/year, and when my WiFi connection is poor, so my primary use of it is as a WiFi client and then connect my laptop via Ethernet to the device, it works perfectly in every instance. I use Linux on my laptop and for some reason my Intel 6235 WiFi adapter works poorly on some networks under Linux, but fine on most, unfortunately one of these that has poor performance is one of the hotels I spend 80+ nights a year in. I now connect this to the wall, connect it as a WiFi client, then plug my laptop into the ethernet port and it works great. I have even connected a small switch behind it and that works with no issues. I haven't had the best luck with a couple TP-Link products in the past, but this is one of the best $5 investments I have ever made.

Pros: No separate power connection,
Fast reconfiguration.
Cons: Manufacturer says NOT compatible with IPv6
Other Thoughts: Avoid this device, http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?100299-Troubleshooting-IPv6 shows official admission that it is not compatible with IPv6.
If IPv6 worked properly, I would definitely recommend to anyone. But not as it is right now.
