Yes, it has a RED keyboard backlight.  Please note that, as far as I can tell, you cannot turn of the keyboard permanently.  You can turn it off using the Function and F9 keys, but it will turn on again after sleep or shut down.  Generally, I like the computer very much.

no it does not .
it is a beautiful laptop as long as acer doesnt ruin it .. mine arrived with 8 GB instead of 16 with 2 dead usb ports

Yes, you can reserve your Windows 10 OS and files will download in the background. So far, it seems to be free.

The operating system comes installed in the SSD, and is quite fast because of it (4 second boot, usually). Your software installations will also go on the SSD.

The HDD is empty and can be used for generic data storage (photos, music etc.)

How did your upgrade to windows 10 go with this computer? Any issues?

So far, so good - almost everything works the same. I screwed up the computer by trying to remap the keys (I like the Ctrl and Alt switched) and the Dolby sound control panel is gone, but everything else is working well.

Buyers speak of problems with the wifi card on similar Acer models. Does this model have similar problems?

Wireless is horribad if you happen to upgrade to Windows 10. It also will not work on Linux, but it is being worked on for later support.

Recently, there was a driver update for the wireless in Windows 10. It got the bluetooth working. However, the Wireless is too slow to depend on. (It does work, but badly. compared to usb wireless)

I am using a $20 usb wireless stick until the driver situation improves.

Does the fan blow out the bottom and how many speakers are there ?

The fans intake is on the bottom near the back and the exhaust is across the back edge, but they have a feature (that you can disable) which reverses the fan (Acer Dust Defender) that is designed to reduce the amount of dust build up. There are four speakers and it is louder and sounds better than any laptop I've had before, but that's a matter of opinion.
