How good are the speakers?

The speakers are the best I've ever heard on a laptop, and I had an Alienware before this. Of course, they are laptop speakers, so don't expect to fill a ballroom with surround sound. I play Fallout 4 and when I first plugged in my headphones, I heard a lot more sounds than I ever knew were there when I played on my other laptop. All in all, this has been a great purchase at a great price.

The chicklet keyboard is amazingly easy to type on. I am a professional writer, so this is important to me. The keys are all very responsive and sturdy. The keyboard lighting is great, if you like red and blue (which fortunately, I do). I do wish there was some software similar to Alienware that would allow you to change the colors of the keys in different sections, but this is not at all critical for me.

I did a lot of research of high-end gaming computers that I could also use for my work and I believe that this was the best computer available for the price.

Question 2

With this laptop are you able to remove the battery, and if so how and what battery would you use to replace it and could I do it myself?

This computer does not have a 'removable' battery, in case you were asking because you wanted to keep a spare battery to swap out. Yet, I've had no issues with battery life while using this computer for 8~10 hours following my professors' lectures while taking notes on PowerPoint in conjunction with internet browsing; at the end of the day, I have about 25% battery life remaining (I click the battery saver mode yet it still has full function/no sacrifice on performance). On full charge, I've watched Underworld: Evolution movie without realizing that I was not plugged in and still had almost half of my battery life remaining! (It's either INSANELY GOOD or I'm just a dinosaur!!) In 2011 I had an ASUS RoG laptop that would only last 2 hours on battery with 'normal' use and could not finish or barely finish watching a movie on a plane; I thought this was expected from a gaming laptop so I was okay with it. However, in comparison, this ACER Predator was a HUGE step up for me.

What is the ssd?  Is it M.2, and if so is it PCIe3x4 / NVMe or is it sata?
