Does this computer have a cd drive?

It has a dvd writer. It will read and write cd's and dvd's.

How is this for gaming?

Depends on the game of course. But the system is strong and runs adobe Master Suite like a champ, so I am guessing games would run just fine.

How long is the battery life on it?

I never received the laptop. Their shipping couldn't locate the order and I ultimately had to file a credit card dispute to get my money back. Good luck
