Is the Hard Drive easy to remove? I have a 250GB SSD that would be a great fit for this laptop?

For the most part. The HDD is in a bay that has it's own access panel on the back with one screw to take off. Then just pry off the cover using the notch provided. After that, 4 screws to remove the mount then 4 screws to remove the mount off the drive. Be careful as the cable connected to the drive is short. Just long enough to pull the drive out a bit and pull the cable off. This laptop also has the capability to install an M.2 drive. But you have to remove all screws from the back and pop off the case to access it. I read the M.2 is only capable with SATA, not an NVME. I put a SATA M.2 in mine and works just fine.
