Does this come with Windows 10 installed?

Yes, it came with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. Unfortunately it also came with all of Acer's bloatware pre-loaded. I plan on reinstalling with a Windows 10 Home USB drive (created directly from Microsoft's instructions) that does not contain all of that Acer bloatware.

Do I need to buy a new monitor for this computer?

You shouldn't need to buy a new monitor, depending on the type of connection your existing monitor has.  This system has 1-VGA and 2-HDMI ports available for a monitor.

Do any of the owners know if this has an m.2 ssd slot?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at least for the i5-8400 version there is one available M.2 slot. You have to pull out the DVD drive temporarily to access it, and you will need to have your own mounting screw to secure the SSD.

How many 3.5inch HDD drive bays are there?

As far as I can tell, there are no extra bays.  There is an area where another drive could be mounted, but it does not seem possible to do properly with cables attached.  I added another drive with a single screw holding the drive in - not the greatest solution but it worked.  Keep in mind you need a power cable splitter/extender to power another drive as well.

No it does not have built in speakers.  I added external speakers, but you can also use headphones.

Anyone have an image of the inside of this thing? Wondering if it has a standard motherboard for future upgrades or is it some proprietary stuff that can't be upgraded?

2 ram slots.  PSU connector is standard.  I replaced it with an EVGA Bstock special to upgrade to 600w.  no usb-c.  Some USB on back...
