does windows come installed on the SSD? Can it connect to internet wirelessly? are the many extra programs preinstalled on the setup like a setup you'd get from HP or DELL?

Windows 10 comes installed. it is wired or wireless right out of the box, nothing needs to be added to it. and no, not really any extra programs like you get from a HP, since its mostly made as a gaming computer, they kept it pretty bare on extra software. but as far has running games, its great, have 100 FPS playing World of WarCraft at high setting right out of the box, very very good gaming computer. very happy with it, this is the 2nd computer type I have bought from Asus. I always by 2 at a time because the wife is a gaming nut also. never had any problems with any of them and the handle the games flawlessly

How many fans? Is there a CPU fan?

1 on the rear at the top, 1 on the mother board, and 1 on the graphics card. I know there are 2 additional fan slots available on the top of the case, and I believe 2 more on the front.

Question 3

Can you run dual monitors? I only see 1 hdmi port.

Accepted Answer

The computer comes with 2 HDMI ports and 2 Displayports and 1 DVI port

DVI does not do the same job as it only transits video and not audio.

Does it matter what GTX it has?

It is all personal preference and intended use.  Of course the higher GTX card is the newest one with the most capacity. If you are planning on getting 4K monitors and running the newest games, you should spend the extra dough and get the best that you can.  If you are tight on the budget, the 1060 is just fine. personally, we went middle of the road with the 1070 and it runs well.  All in all, it depends on your use case and what type of programs you are trying to run.
Hope that helps.  If you can afford it, the 1080 is worth shelling out for it.

I had to return unit due to the off/on switch being broken and could not turn unit on. 
Sorry i could not be of any more help. Hopefully I will have a new unit in 5 days and it works
I would think they would have at least tried to turn unit on and found bad switch but it could have been damaged when it was packed.

Does the 16gb ram come as 2x8 DIMM or 4x4 DIMM?  Would adding 2x8 DDR4-2400 give 32gig Total?

In the pics I saw two ram. So, most likely they are 8gb each as for adding more that depends on the motherboard specs.
