Question 1

Hi I recently got this pc and it said the product key was wrong when it was 1st put in. I tried to check the side of the pc however it got scratched off by pulling off a tag. How can I get the product key again for Windows 10?

Hah. Yeah, been there and done that. Good news is you are not screwed, you are okay. There are a couple of things you can try on your own that may work. You can open a CMD prompt and run the SLUI-4 command which will show you code key because the code keys are actually printed on the motherboard. That may work. If not, take a photo of the side of your computer showing the scraped code key and log in to your Microsoft Account. Slide to the bottom and ask for Chat Now. A MS tech employee will come on and ask you to move the photo to your PC, then he will take over your desktop for a bit, make sure this isn't fraud, then issue you a new code key that works. He may even enter it himself. My guy kid. Just contact MS and they will help you. This seems to be a common error.

Is this pc perfect for streaming and editing videos?

I would say yes depending on your own ISP and their gear. That is often the real bottleneck for streaming movies and videos. I have AT&T's Gigabit Service (which this PC can make use of), I just ran a test and the results are: 548 Mbps Download, 288 Mbps Upload, with 0 Latency. This is with the U-verse TV on at the same time. I have shut everything down and tried it at 10pm CDT and got 725 D, 510 U several times. So, the machine can handle it fine but check that your ISP is ready for the machine. Because it is one awesome PC.

can this computer use SSD? and if so how do you know?

Hi.  I have a question about this computer.  We purchased it and it constantly reboots itself about every 10 minutes.  Can someone pls tell us what to do to fix it.  At first we thought it was just doing updates, but it has never stopped.  It doesnt matter what my son is doing, it just keeps rebooting itself.  Thanks Dane Brown

Howdy, I am looking to expand the base memory of 8 GB to the full 64 GB of memory. I am asking for recommendations replacing ALL the memory with the same high quality memory. So, if this were your PC and you were taking out the included 8 GB of memory and swapping in 64 GB, which memory sticks (exactly, please) would you use? Thanks!

The model i bought has only 2 slots for RAM. You would need 2 32GB sticks to get the 64 GB of memory you're looking for. I don't know offhand if they make RAM in that quantity, but if they did your options would be limited to the manufacturers of that size. Sorry i couldn't answer more accurately, but that's all i can reccommend.

Hey there, I was wondering what people thought about monitor options for this pc. My current idea is to use my 40" LED 1080p, 60Hz TV as a monitor though I have not tried it out yet. That may be a bad idea. If it is, will someone please tell me so I don't waste my time and while you are at it, could you recommend your ideas for a better idea? Thanks.

Funy you should mention this. I am currently using a Vizio 30" 1080p 60Hz TV as my monitor. It looks incredible. I don't think you need to worry about...whatever it is you are worrying about. I just used standard W10 settings and set it for 1980xwhatever, 1080p, 60Hz. W10 did the rest. HOWEVER, I think what you might be worried about is the high end graphics card is capable of much more than that and you can use nVidia Settings to actually change your monitor, or what is being sent to your monitor, to 1080p, 120Hz. I tried this just for grins and the image was highly digitized and hard to look at so I quickly moved it back to 60Hz. I have had this setup running since April playing Dawn of War 3 with zero problems so I think you will be okay.

Get it exchanged for a new one, i had one do the same thing on me, returned it for a replacement, haven't had any problems with my replacement.

The i7-7700 in this computer is cooled by a fan. If you want it liquid cooled you can buy a liquid CPU cooler and install it yourself.
