Overall Review:
The NS version has a feature known in the industry as a World-Wide Name (64-bit), aka WWN64. The AS version lacks this serial number. Why does this matter? Enterprise use on Serial-Attached-SCSI (SAS), which allows SATA drives to be used, has certain uses for uniquely identifying drives, even if they move around different connectors. (Think: RAID on high-end boards, multi-path being able to detect it's the same drive, etc.)
To see this difference on the Seagate site, you must download the SATA technical specifications, and look at the "IDENTIFY DEVICE" command response. In the AS, certain bytes will be listed as "Reserved", and in the NS, the bytes will be listed as "World Wide Name 64".
In short, for a home user, it's probably not worth the extra cash for the WWN64-enabled version (the NS).
