Pros:
First two hard drives it worked great, 2 IDE drives. Known good. Pleased.
Cons:
Tried an unknowned Seagate SATA and smoked it. Tried an old IDE 4 GB Seagate that was good when I removed it and smoked it. Tried an old 1GB and got nothing. I had to know for sure so I connected a brand new WD 160 IDE up and pulled the plug as soon as the smoke and smell appeared. I figured it was toast.
Overall Review:
Went back to my old way using an old SATA/ IDE enclosure and hooked the WD 160 and it came up. I formatted it, so it wasn't a total loss. Sometimes the old ways are best.
