Pros:
It's design fits drives relatively well...
Cons:
I bought 6 of these, 3 of the devices were not even able to have the ide controller detect the sata drive on the other side, of the 3 adapters that worked well enough to have the ide controllers detect the drives correctly, all received many data errors, and one simply stopped working all together after having power for a couple of minutes.
One of the adapters generated 6 CRC errors a minute over several hours on read attempts on a working drive.
Overall Review:
Master/Slave switch might have been a good idea if the device worked at all in the correct setting.
