Pros:

Inexpensive, and works. Has a very, very long USB extension cable. Tested on both Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.10 and works fine.

Cons:

Someone else posted a review saying it works on Ubuntu - it does, but not out of the box. You have to use ndiswrapper and the Windows XP drivers to get it to work (as of Ubuntu 9.10). Not a big deal, but most wifi cards work the instant you stick them in, which means in order to set this one up, your Ubuntu computer needs to be connected to the internet already (with Windows, this is a given, but I hate having to do that when using Ubuntu), or have ndiswrapper already installed and the XP drivers in-hand (no CD included, so you have to download them from Netgear's website). Needless hassle.

Also, the blue LED activity light doesn't really show activity. It just flicks on and off. It doesn't flicker quicker or slower as usage changes. The adapter is a little bulky, but most cheap adapters are, and it has a long extension cable, so no big deal.

Overall Review:

Hard to make any complaints when it's so inexpensive, but it would have been nice if it used a chipset that Ubuntu didn't need ndiswrapper to use. The ENCORE ENUWI-G2 is inexpensive and works without any extra work. However, this card isn't advertising that it works with Linux, so I'm not dinging it too heavily (plus it's cheap!). Just explaining in case someone else wants to see if it will work with Ubuntu or not.
