This review is from: COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros:
Very Roomy / plenty of space for long video cards.
Quiet Fans, good air flow - front panel all mesh.
No sharp edges.
Removable hard drive section (bottom 4 slots, leaves 2 hd spots).
Truley tooless optical drive & hard drive cages that are easy to figure out and feel secure.
Easy to remove dust filters for front, bottom, and top fan openings.
Fan options for top/bottom/side of case.
All fans came with smaller motherboard pins and adapter to connect to power supply - Nice Touch!
Rubber Feet raise it nicely from the floor and make it sit securely.
Switch to turn off/on front fan LED.
Front panel connectors have good length to reach motherboard.
Cons:
The black anadozed paint makes screwing in the motherboard stands TOUGH.
The black anadozied paint seems to bond together any screws you try to undo; including the thumb screws for the PCI cards and side panels, but they'll loosen up over time.
Only 80mm fan option for back of motherboard - why bother, plus it would be noisy compared to the 140's.
More space behind motherboard for cable mgmt; was still able to hide most cables, but was a bit more challenging.
Thumb screws and motherboard stand screws are not as wide as previous CM Praetorian case which makes them harder to screw in by hand.
Overall Review:
Case might look plain in pic's compared to Haf 922 & Assasain, but's a bit more impressive in person.
Added an identical CM 140 fan to the top for exhaust.
Using the rear fan spot for the CoolIt ECO-R120 fan/radiator - works great!
