Nice Sound, when it works

Pros:
Works out of the box in Ubuntu.
Greatly increases sound volume, which is fantastic when using a small pair of speakers.
Lets me play two streams out of my laptop simultaneously, but see Cons.
Cons:
While playing two streams simultaneously, some streams crash Gstreamer. My hunch is that there's a hardware MP3 decoder that's crashing. The ultimate effect is that streams sometimes just stop, which isn't acceptable for my use case.
