- Copper heat pipes w/ soldered copper upper fins

This review is from: SILVERSTONE NT01-E 2 x 60mm fans (optional) CPU Cooler
Pros:
good cooler, can run fanless on a 95w tdp i5-2500k cpu
my idle temps average around 32*C without any fans on the heatsink, although it's absolutely necessary to remove the aluminum fan shroud.
also one of the few aftermarket coolers to fit in my case with minor modifications, Silverstone SG05BB
Cons:
I can't say for certain but i'm pretty sure in most cases this heatsink would work best fanless, with the aluminum fan shroud removed as well.
I had this mounted with the fan shroud on and one 60mm fan mounted when i first put together this computer and my idle temps were around 45-47*C, after removing the fan and fan shroud (fan was annoying and noisy anyways) my temps dropped to 32*C
Overall Review:
Just thought I'd post this since it seemed like only about half of the reviews here seem positive, plus i don't think any of the other reviewers have my case and IMO this is the best cooler for the SG05, was also looking at the Xigmatek praeton ld964, but 2 out of 3 reviewers say the fan is whiny, so unless you don't want a video card this is the best cooler IMO for the SG05.
Should also note that i have a Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 intake fan that sits about 65mm from the cpu heatsink, picked it because it has 2.94mmH2O air pressure so it pushes a fair amount of air on the heatsink.
