Good, but with tradeoffs

Pros:
Consistent light, low energy usage, no flicker, seem much brighter than advertised
Cons:
very cold (in appearance) white light
Overall Review:
If you want no flicker, low cost, long lasting bulbs in a location where the color temperature doesn't matter much - these are a good choice. But I wouldn't use these in a reading lamp or in any situation where the stark white light will distract you.
Inside a sconce or a lampshade would work well, since those are generally going to affect the color somewhat.
