Gorgeous, but Inconvenient 09/03/2012
This review is from: Antec Performance One Series P183 V3 Black Aluminum / Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros:
-Very attractive design
-Incredibly quiet
-All stock fans are speed-adjustable
-Front fan slots are filtered
-Dual-compartment interior for excellent heat management
-Easy drive installation
-Built-in 2.5" drive support
-Solid, precision feel in every moving part
Cons:
Front door obscures an already-camouflaged power button
Front fan filters are not easily removable (incorrect manual?)
No Front fans included (No wonder it was so quiet at first!)
Front USB3 doesn't use MoBo headers (Must use rear ports)
Not much room between side panel and back of motherboard.
Both panels are difficult to align and slide in correctly.
Overall Review:
I absolutely love this case. It's gorgeous, very quiet (even with two 120mm fans in the front), and keeps all of its innards very cool. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat just for those things.
But any time I have to turn it on (which is fairly often, as it so happens), I must open the case door and fumble for the invisible power button. And whenever I open it up to install/uninstall/troubleshoot something, the case seems to reject its own side panel, refusing to let me close it back up. I usually have to lay it on its side, and hold all of the hooks in place simultaneously as I attempt to slide it shut seven more times.
And don't get me started on having to vacuum the non-removable fan filters
*ahem* I recommend this case. It's pretty, quiet, cool, and only a MITE inconvenient.
