This review is from: Canon PIXMA MG6220 ESAT Approx. 12.5 ipm Black Print Speed 9600 x 2400 dpi Color Print Quality Ethernet (RJ-45) / USB / Wi-Fi InkJet MFC / All-In-One Color Printer
Pros:
- Print Quality Overall
- Duplex
- Easy Setup
- Size (being All-in-One)
Cons:
Well two major things.
First, Wake up mode. On my old Pixmas printer was able to power up once given printing job from any computer. Unless you leave this printer at do no power off mode, this device cannot power up and start printing! Called support, they are clueless of course. Tried Wifi, USB, LAN and makes no difference. You need to press the power button first. A lot of cheaper and older printers... heck all of them.. can wake and print! Solution - leave it on.. it goes to some sort of stand by mode but that will clean heads periodically meaning more ink down the drain.
Second, this is old one... like any pixma it eats ton of ink! This thing constantly cleans heads and will eat your cartridges within month or two for sure even if you don't print a lot. Luckily I refill but it a big hassle.
Also annoying - cartridges are not transparent. Can't see ink levels anymore for timely refill. Not a huge deal tho.
Overall Review:
I was hoping this will be a win win.. but just a solid all round printer nothing else.
