Cons:
DOA. Won't spin up, starts to then clicking noises and shuts down. does this 3 or 4 times then won't spin up at all.
Seems to be common problem.
I realize unsatisfied customers or more likely to leave a bad review, but still seems to be a lot of issues like this.
Overall Review:
I bought this on kind of an impulse, but now that I think about it I'm not sure I trust that big of a drive. might buy two smaller ones put them in an old server box and raid them
RMA was approved quickly, but I get to spend $12.00 to send it back for a refund

We are very sorry to hear that your drive did not function so soon after it was delivered. Western Digital does rigorously test and verify all of our drives, prior to shipping, with burn in and diagnostic tests.There are many variables that could amount to a drive emitting unusual sounds when powering on your computer. As a troubleshooting step, we recommend running either our WINDLG diagnostics software or Macs built in Disk Utility to check your drives health.
