Great little printer 06/22/2013
This review is from: Brother MFC-J4410DW Wireless Color Multifunction Inkjet Printer
Pros:
So far, I'm very impressed with this printer. Setup was a breeze. I was too lazy to walk upstairs to hit the WPS button on our router so I went the manual route to setup the wireless connection and it took no time at all. I have an older Brother laser printer that was a real hassle to manually setup the wireless and I've had plenty of trouble with Lenovo printers setting up wireless.
I quickly set this printer up on a Windows 8 x64 laptop, a Windows 7 x64 laptop as well as on my Droid Razr HD smartphone (using Brother's iPrint and Scan app). It printed and scanned without issue on all three machines.
The print quality is good and with the exception of when the printer first draws the paper out of the paper tray, it is a very quiet printer.
I don't have any 11x17 paper to try printing 11x17, but I being able to is a great plus for a sub $200 printer. I got it while it was on sale for $129.99
Cons:
My only complaints so far are 1) the power cord could be a little longer. 2) It could be quieter when drawing paper from the paper tray and 3) That you have to lift the scanner bed to access the phone jack, ethernet port and usb port.
All relatively petty complaints, but enough for me to knock off 1 egg.
Overall Review:
Since we Homeschool, we use our printer a lot. Our last two HP inkjet printers gave us a lot of head aches. My Brother laserjet has worked well for the last few years and I have high hopes for this one.
