Pros:

Running 5x 3tb WD Red drives. Using Synology Hybrid RAID which is basically RAID 5 in my setup. Have roughly 10.8 tb for storage. I'm using this primarily as a media server to stream to my xbox so my computer doesn't have 4 external hard drives and is on 24/7.

Media Server app is awesome. Simple set up and it's ready to go. Streaming perfect. Setup was a breeze. I'm still learning everything about it but it's so easy to use.

I like how it looks. Some people were saying the lights were too bright but I don't mind them. I'm used to my computer being on though and it's brighter.

Cons:

Price, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Honestly, it's worth it for how simple this was to set up. Keep in mind that I have very limited networking knowledge. I know computers but networking always gets me confused unless it's simple. And it was a breeze for me.

Overall Review:

Make sure you're ready for the investment. With the server and the drives, I was looking at $1500 ish.

Other things to consider are your home network capabilities. I need to upgrade my router and all my cabling. Currently through my router from my comp I'm only getting 11.2 mb/s write speed. But I just left it on overnight and it finished. Luckily the majority of my stuff was on external 3.0s so I just plugged those directly into the server and they transferred much quicker at around 70 mb/s.

I haven't upgraded the RAM or the fans yet. Although it seems quite quick and the stock fans are fairly quite even when I changed my settings to speed them up.
