This review is from: SYBA SY-PCI40010 PCI SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) RAID Controller Card
Pros:
Was very easy to install. And breathed new life into an old 32 bit P4, that had been sitting on the floor of my garage for 7 years, with a dead mouse inside.
Cons:
None so far
Overall Review:
I used this card in my 2000 vintage 32 bit Gateway 700 XL, P4 2.3 ghz with 1GB of RAMBUS mem. I configured 1, 320GB 2.5 and one 500GB 2.5, in a RAID 0 configuration for a grand total on 600 GB. Installing 32 bit Windows 7 was a breeze and went a lot faster then it does with the IDE drives this 13 year old box came with. I low level formatted both drives with the RAID utility, then set up my
RAID 0 array. Folks who say they are having problems, must not know what they are doing. I'm cursing along at 32 bit speed, playing all my old computer games, that I could not play after I made the move to 64 bit, so many years ago.. Best $40 I've spent in a while.
