Pros:
I needed two network interfaces on my Linux workstation (Ubuntu 13.10) so I could selectively access my home network and my work network. I had originally planned to install a second NIC in the box (one PCIe and one PCI slot open). However, the on-board NIC has known issues running under Linux. I had recently purchased this card and decided to give it a try: It. Just . Works.
I'm able to up/down either of the interfaces and route my traffic as wanted. The performance of the card is good and I no lost-packet issues. I just can't say enough good things about this card, I'm ordering a second to keep handy.

I'm not on Windows, so I haven't tried the teaming software.
