This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros:
The temperature of my 3770K at 4.5Ghz overclock keeps under 60°C during Intel burn test, and 50°C during gaming with my Corsair SP120 performance fans turned low using a fan controller. The cooling ability of this unit is satisfactory.
Cons:
The mounting system was not properly tight with provided spacers. I had to add nylon washers to take the slack out of the mount, though this has probably been revised by Corsair by now (there was a batch of them about a year ago with this problem on LGA1155 Asus boards).
After a year, the green and blue LED's that control the glowing corsair logo on the block died, so the logo is permanently red now.
Corsair Link version 2.0 won't set fans lower than 1700 RPM regardless of me setting them to lower RPM than that. I had to use a fan controller to effectively silent my fans.
I personally recommend not bothering with Corsair Link, as the only useful feature was changing the LED color on the pump which inst that important. If you dont have a fan controller, your motherboard fan controller will be better than it so just use that.
Overall Review:
There is allot of small issues this cooling solution gave me over the last year I'v owned it, but overall I am satisfied with the cooling ability.
If I had to chose a self contained water cooling solution with what's available on the market now, I would probably purchase a more basic unit that didn't have so many unneeded bells and whistles that eventually die anyway.
