This review is from: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL10S-8GBXL
Pros:
This was part of a package deal, and would be great if it worked properly.
Cons:
The only reason I knew the RAM was bad is because my video playback would freeze up about every 15-20 seconds. Windows memory test passed. When I went into the motherboard I turned the frequency of the RAM to the lowest setting and it worked quite a bit better (it would freeze up for a half a second every minute.... regardless I hope the next module is better, and if so I will re-rate
Overall Review:
Just wanted to pass on the information if anyone else is having similar problems. Newegg has always been good to me, although I have received 2 defective parts in the last 2 months. :(
Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer
We can surely help you with any problems. This memory kit is above standard, so don't forget to configure settings in BIOS/EFI, or enable the XMP performance profile. Without the proper set up, the system may be unstable, and the memory may seem defective. In addition, not all CPUs natively support DDR3-1866, so additional tweaks may be necessary. Should you need assistance with this, simply contact the G.Skill support team and they will make sure the RAM is running fast and stable in your computer. With G.Skill, you get the best quality product, price, support, and service.
Thank you
