Great as always! 04/25/2014
This review is from: ASUS P9X79 LE LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros:
Board is easy to setup with it's own presets or go manual and set it up with your own options in quite a functional bios layout, 8 Memory Slots with Quad-Channel DDR3 Support up to 2400MHz and 64GB total, 3 Way SLI capable. 6 on-board Sata Controllers. Energy saving functions built in. LGA 2011 Ivy Bridge-E Processor Support.
Cons:
The third pci-e x16 is positioned in a way that becomes unusable for sli (or at all) unless you buy aftermarket slim cooling / water cooling for the graphics cards. But that seems to be a common problem.
The 1st pci-e x1 also gets covered and becomes unusable by any decent video card. Not sure why they choose to do this.
Overall Review:
Upgraded from my 3 year old Asus p8p67 (which is now a working media center dvr). Asus works great as always!
